Velcloak

Platform & research

Where Velcloak is heading beyond recording. Everything on this page is a planned direction, not a shipped feature.

Multimodal systems telemetry Planned

Recordings are rich evidence of how software behaves. The plan is to analyse visual video streams together with terminal errors and console logs from the same session, on one timeline.

Automated QA & diagnostics Planned

LLM-assisted analysis of that combined evidence to produce structured Markdown reports: what happened, when, and the likely cause. Reports are meant to be checked by a human, not trusted blindly.

The research framework Planned

A method for cross-checking observed system anomalies against published graphics computer science literature, with sources cited in each report.

What exists today

The recorder itself: capture, encode, replay and a burned-in HUD. Generic timeline markers are planned. No analysis, QA or research tooling has shipped, and none has been benchmarked. The founder also works on academic research on LLM-as-judge evaluation; no results are published here yet.

AI assistance is used in developing Velcloak. The recorder does not use AI today.
